Christmas Trees and Visiting Santa

The weekend after thanksgiving, we headed out to a small Farmer's Market near us to visit Santa. He had decided to hang out there for the day so the little ones would have a chance to see him and visit for a bit. It was a really nice change from visiting the mall to see Santa. Lily got to talk with him for as long as she wanted (which wasn't long at all) and we got to take as many pictures as we wanted too. And it didn't cost us a thing! Lily refused to sit on his lap, so she stood next to me while he held Annabelle and told him what she wanted for Christmas from a distance. Once we were done visiting with Santa, Lily got to go decorate a gingerbread man with daddy. She ate him right after she was done decorating - I think he was pretty tasty.

After we were done at the farmers market, we went to lunch at one of our favorite restaurants - San Jose! Annabelle actually slept through most of it:

Once we finished our tasty lunch, Annabelle had a quick lunch in the car and then we were off to get our Christmas tree. For the past two years, we've gotten our trees from Homewood nursery. It's a relatively small, family run nursery and they have really superior products. Our trees both years have been just beautiful and stay that way for the whole season. We wondered around a little, with Annabelle in her carrier, and took some pictures in front of the giant 20' trees they had before we picked ours out. The nursery really has some wonderful plants and trees year round and I think we're going to be getting some fruit trees from them this year. We took our tree home and got it all set up before decorating the next day, after it had fallen a bit. Richard also got the lights put up on the outside of the house, so we were all set for Christmas!
