O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree....

I love Christmas. I love the Christmas spirit, Christmas decorations, Christmas cookies, Christmas music and I LOVE Christmas trees. Our tradition is to get our Christmas tree Thanksgiving weekend - mainly because I want us to have it up and shining in the house for as long as possible. Saturday, we headed over to our Christmas tree place, which is called Mountain Advantage. We first visited this place last year on a whim and really like the owners. They're very sweet people and they're State fans - what could be better
Last year, Lily just kinda checked out the trees while we held her. She really wasn't much of a fan - if you'll flashback here, you can check out her reaction last year when we brought it home. This year, she was totally interested in the trees and she really loved that she got to walk around and check them all out.

We picked out a rather large tree this year.... It was in the 7-8ft range, which meant that we won't have a tree topper this year! We have about 3 inches of clearance between the top of our tree and the ceiling, so we'll being doing a bow topper this year. After we let it fall out over night, we worked on getting it decorated Sunday afternoon. Daddy and Lily hung the first ornament, as always, and then we all got down to business getting the ornaments up. Lily really loved helping hang the ornaments - she kept going back and admiring her work. She absolutely LOVES the Christmas tree. Every night when we plug it in, she stands back, watches and says "ooooo". In the morning, it's the first thing she runs to and she can spend a lot of time just standing there, checking it out. It's awesome to watch :)
