Lily's 14 Month Update

Once again, I'm guilty of delinquent blog posting.. But, I'm back at it now! And have a resolution to keep up with it in a timely fashion - at least as much as possible :o)

Well, our little munchkin was 14 months old this past month - crazy! This month was a particularly special month for us, in that Lily started walking - REALLY walking. She's no longer a couch to couch cruiser, but a full fledged walking girl. I guess she's now officially a toddler - no more baby here. I can't believe how fast that happened!

In addition to walking, she's also chattering. Most of the time, her words don't really make sense and there's still a lot of noises mixed in (she's still a BIG fan of making all her animal sounds), but she says a couple of things really clearly. She loves to point to things and ask "what's that?" or point to something she wants and say "this". In addition to mama and dada, she'll also say Lily (which mostly sounds like lala). One of her most favorite things to do is give hugs - to everything! Her books, her stuffed animals, her toys, mommy and daddy, as well as Oz. She absolutely loves to give him hugs and kisses.

She has definitely started to have her own mind. Now, when you ask her to come to you, about 60% of the time she'll come to you and the other 40% of the time she'll turn around and run away - "chase Lily" is rapidly becoming one of her favorite games. She's also starting to test her boundaries. Now, instead of hearing "no" and stopping what she's doing immediately, she looks at you, considers, and then continues what she's doing until the "no" is reiterated - at least once.

My computer is not cooperating right now, but as soon as it is, I'll upload some recent pics and videos. Until then, check out the Family Beach Trip post to see some cute pictures of the Lily pie.
