What a great weekend we had! Although it went back to not feeling much like fall, we still had beautiful weather and really enjoyed the weekend.
Yesterday, Lily and I met up with Nana and Aunt Katie for a girls day! We started off with brunch at Brio, which was so yummy. They have these fantastic shrimp and crab crepes that I love and it was a delicious way to start off our day! Before we left, we snapped a couple of pictures of Lilypie. This was her second outfit of the day - I brought 3 and she went through all of them!
After brunch, we headed over to Crabtree to do a little shopping and walking. Not too long after we got there, Lily seemed ready to eat and her Aunt Katie volunteered to sit with her while she ate and Nana and I did a little shopping. Well, after running to the "Just Dogs" store to pick up some cute puppy treats, I came back and found this:
Apparently, we had already exhausted her and we had just gotten started! After her catnap, she woke back up, thinking she was ready to eat, but she was just too tired. After trying to eat for awhile, I ended up walking around the mall with her for a little while to help her sleep. She finally fell asleep for about an hour, while we did some more shopping :), and she woke back up in a great mood and really ready to eat! Once we were done at the mall, we made a stop at Barnes and Noble and then headed to Target to finish up our girls day. When we got home, we were both pretty pooped from our girls day. Lily was ready for dinner and bed and she slept until 7:45 this morning, which mommy really appreciated!
Today, we decided to take advantage of another beautiful day and take Lily on her first trip to the Farmer's Market. We usually go pretty often, but haven't been since Lily was born because of the pretty hot weather. Today was a great day to go and we found some really nice pumpkins that will give just the right fall decor to our front porch and an excellent pumpkin to carve for Halloween. Lily really liked checking out all the pumpkins - including her Lily size pumpkin! Here are a few of the pictures from the day:
After the Farmer's Market, we took a little drive the NC State's campus. It's been awhile since I've been over there and I was surprised how much has changed! It looks great and made me miss college for just a little bit. We headed over to the Village Drafthouse to eat lunch and then got a yummy sweet treat from Baskin Robbins afterwards - another very yummy lunch! After lunch, we headed home to keep enjoying the beautiful day. After a little nap and some inside playtime, we all headed back outside. Lily hung out in her swing on the front porch while we washed the cars - which mine desperately needed! Tonight, our good friend Wesley (Lily's honorary Uncle Wesley) came over to have dinner with us and catch up for a little while. Lily had a great time with him and even gave him a laugh - something not easily given up by her! Here are some pictures from lunch and Lily with Wesley:
And here are a couple Lily cuteness pictures, as well as some pictures of the great mums I got from a friend at work this week - they look so pretty in front of the house!
