This weekend, we spent our time celebrating Lily's Aunt Margaret's wedding! We had such a great time and it was a beautiful weekend for a wedding. On Friday, Lily and I headed to Asheboro to drop her off with Nana and Aunt Katie, while I went to the bridal luncheon with the other bridesmaids and the bride-to-be! We had lunch at Starmount and got in some good girl time before the big rehearsal dinner that night. After the luncheon, I headed up to the hotel in Reidsville to get checked in and get our stuff settled before Nana, Aunt Katie and Lily arrived. After a little hang out time, we all got ready to head to the rehearsal dinner and Nana got Lily dressed and ready to go. Here are some pictures of Lily getting dressed in her party clothes!
After we got to the rehearsal, we had a little bit of downtime, so we took some time to get a couple of family pictures, and of course, more pictures of Lily!
When we got back to the hotel after the rehearsal, we got Lily ready for bed before Richard and I headed to the rehearsal dinner. Before we got her out of her party clothes, Lily did a couple of curtsies for us:
Richard and I headed to the rehearsal dinner, which was at Bryan Park Conference Center - the same place we had our wedding reception! It's such a nice place and it brought back some great memories being there that night. We had some wonderful barbeque and some great dancing too!
The next morning, we got to relax for awhile before we needed to get ready and head over to the estate for the wedding. We didn't do much at all - just relaxed around the hotel and made sure Lily got her naps, so she'd be happy and in a great mood for the wedding later that evening:
The wedding was beautiful! It was held at the Belmont Estate in Reidsville and it was such a beautiful day; I know the pictures are going to be great! After the wedding, we took pictures with the new bride and groom and then got ready to enjoy the reception. Lily did wonderfully and lasted until about 8:00, which was really good, since her usual bedtime is 7 or so. When she was ready to head out, Aunt Katie and Paca (grandpa) took her back to the hotel to wind down and head to bed, while Nana, Aunt Marie, Richard and I stayed to enjoy the party - and we definitely enjoyed it! There was great food, great drinks and really fun dancing. We had a great time celebrating!
Lily slept really well both nights, sleeping until 7:30 Saturday morning and 6:15 on Sunday morning. After she woke up and ate Sunday morning, we both fell back asleep in the big bed with daddy and I was able to get a couple of pictures of her in the big bed, sleeping away all by herself before she was up for the day.
Once she woke up, she was in a great mood (as usual!) and we got some pictures of her grabbing her feet/toes, which is one of her new favorite things to do. It's so cute to watch her do it!
After she was all dressed and ready to go, we headed downstairs to meet everyone for breakfast and to play "pass the baby". Lily really enjoyed hanging out with the family and visiting with those who didn't get to see as much of her at the wedding the night before. I'm so glad she was able to meet so many members of her family!
We finished our breakfast and headed back upstairs to get our things all packed up - and change Lily into her second outfit of the day (we had a minor poop accident) and then, of course, we had to take a couple more pictures! Once we were all packed up, Lily and daddy headed back home while I stayed to ride back to Asheboro with my mom, dad, Katie and Aunt Marie to pick up my car and head back home myself.
Once we were all back in Raleigh, we spent the rest of the day hanging out with the puppies (who we missed very much!) taking naps, and all in all, just relaxing. We had a wonderful weekend and are so happy we were able to celebrate Margaret and Rodney's wedding this weekend - we are so happy for you guys!! We hope you all have a great week and of course, in case you haven't had enough, here is your Lily cuteness for the week in pictures - I wanted to upload some videos, but blogger is not cooperating, so those will come later - enjoy!
