Time of the year! I love Christmas. I love decorating (just ask my husband, who's required to get all the decorations out the day after Thanksgiving), buying presents, giving present, baking, Santa, hot chocolate - I love it all. And it's finally time again! We decorated our Christmas tree after Thanksgiving and even got Lily to hang her ornament...sort of. At least, there was no screaming or crying during this encounter with the tree. After we decorated the tree we had to get some pictures of each of the pups in front of it (a Christmas tradition) and then snapped some of Lily in front of the tree (a new tradition!). Finally, once it was all decorated, our house was fully prepped for Christmas:

On Saturday, Lily and I headed to a baby shower for my friend Kelly - she is having a little girl in January and we are super excited about her! We had so much fun - we ate great food, played some cute games and enjoyed watching Kelly open all the new goodies for her baby girl. We can't wait to meet her! Lily had a great time hanging out with everyone and I was able to get some cute pictures as well:

This time of year is also very special to Richard and I. We got married on December 6th, 2008, so we celebrated our 2 year anniversary this weekend. Yesterday, Nana, Paca and Aunt Katie came to stay with Lily while mommy and daddy went out to dinner at the Melting Pot to celebrate. What a tasty dinner! By the end of our chocolate fondue, we were stuffed and ready to head back home to see Miss Pie.

Today we took Lily to get her 7 month pictures taken and to visit Santa! We weren't quite sure how she would feel about Santa, but she ended up being totally fascinated by him. It was hard to get a picture of her facing the camera because she was sooo enthralled by him and his beard. We were both just really happy that she didn't scream when she saw him! Here are a couple of pictures Richard was able to snap during her visit with him:
But, the best part of this weekend was.... SNOW!! It usually doesn't snow around here (if at all) until January, when it's finally cold enough. But, we got a special treat Saturday afternoon with about 2" of snow. We took Lily out in it for just a little bit to see what she thought and got some great pictures of her checking it out. Here are some pictures for you, plus a little video of her chatting, squealing and bouncing away today. We hope you're all having a wonderful start to the week!
