Sophie's Tea Party

Last weekend we headed up to Virginia to celebrate Sophie's birthday and to see some wonderful family members we haven't been able to see in a long time. Lily got to meet her great Uncle Chuck, her great Uncle Tommy and her great Aunt Judi, along with Judith - it was really special to be able to see them and see them with Lily. It was especially nice to be able to see and spend some time with Uncle Chuck, who is now stationed in Peru with the Peace Corps and has a really limited amount of time to spend in the US. Sophie had an awesome birthday party - Cara, Katie and our friend Kelly did a fantastic job with all of her party details. She had lemonade cupcakes, tea sandwiches, lemonade and green tea, veggie dip shooters - seriously tasty food! And I think she had a great time opening her presents (especially the "I like to move it, move it" card we gave her.
