This year was the first year we have attended the Raleigh Christmas parade. We've seen it on tv a couple of times, but have never really felt the urge to go see it in person. Well, this year we thought Lily might enjoy seeing it, so we headed down. It was a lot of fun! Getting to the parade was a little difficult - a lot of the downtown streets we had planned to use to get to a parking deck were blocked off, so it took us a little longer than we thought to find a good place to park. Next year we will be prepared! There were lots of fun floats with some of our favorite characters, 3 big balloons (something we also weren't expecting) and some really good bands - some of which were high school marching bands. And of course, we got to see the big man himself, Santa!
