Yesterday turned out to be quite the car day! After dropping my car off for it's oil change, we headed downtown to grab some breakfast and make a quick trip to Richard's office. We ate at a fantastic restaurant, Big Ed's City Market - so yummy! They're only open until noon on Saturday's, so we were somewhat afraid of the crowd we might be facing, but we hit it at the perfect time - minimal waiting in line. Big Ed's buys their produce fresh every morning and you sure can taste it in their food. I had a BLT (I know, not exactly breakfast) and the tomatoes were so tasty - there's just nothing like fresh summer tomatoes. Lily kept trying to steal little pieces of my sandwich, but I, somewhat successfully, fended her off. We ordered Lily one hotcake - thinking one small cake would be plenty of breakfast for her. Well, as we discovered, it was enough for 4 of her breakfasts! Check out the size of this thing:
She made a good showing, but we definitely ended up taking home the vast majority of it. She seemed ok with that though, as she devoured another quarter of it with some strawberries this morning!
After breakfast, we walked over to Richard's office and on the way, walked right through the Classic Car Show downtown. Neither of us had any idea this was going on this weekend, but it was a really nice surprise. We spent some time on the way over to the office and on the way back, checking out all the cool cars brought out by collector's. Here are just a few of the cool cars we saw:
And the most interesting one we saw (notice the Mountain Dew can and bottle):
